We can say that in the Canary Islands there is a traditional architecture with its own stamp, but with external contributions from Portugal and Lower Castilian Andalusia. From the layout of the floor plan to the decorative aspects, traditional Canarian architecture is unostentatious and quite simple. This was due to the remoteness of the islands from the mainland, in addition to the fact that stone and lime were much scarcer than in other parts of the Iberian Peninsula. However, in the Canary Islands there is an abundance of wood, especially Canary Island pine (tea), which is very representative in the houses.
The "Casa Canaria" is a prototype with a rectangular floor plan formed by stone walls under a wooden hipped roof, and with a main façade that normally consists of a window - door - window.
Its rehabilitation in the year 2023, has been carried out with great care and affection by the fourth generation of the family, where the main installations have been improved for the correct functioning and improvement of efficiency, but respecting the original constructive elements maintaining the typological structure that characterises the Canarian house, stone walls, roofs of island tea pine with a tiled roof, and the usual "benches" attached to the Canarian windows. The water basin has also been left in its original position.
